@Reinhard , @LoP : Der Mitsu L 400 / Delica hat den Spriteinfüllstutzen hintenlinks unterhalb der D-Säule. Zudem hat das Wägelchen auch beiseitig Schiebetüren (da hat Hyundai wirklich am falschen Ende gespart) und Getriebeautomatik.

Und das alles als Linkslenker mit dem feinen CRDi ... <träum>

Hi - this is my first post on this board - so nice to talk to all Starex owners :)


I bought original plastic tank for Fiat Doblo II - capacity 60 l. and put it in place of the spare wheel.

The fuel is transfered using the original Doblo fuel pump via a button in the cabin.

The only thing left to do is add a metal tank cover :)

You did a nice job, really !
The only thing is that there should be a higher fuel capacity, because only 60 liters are a little low for all that work done and the existing place there in the back.

It's easy to refuel the main tank - when it's empty I just refuel whole second tank till the main is full.
In case of any trouble with it - it's very easy and cheap to buy used tank for fiat doblo and make quick replace ;)

Nevertheless I would prefer a bigger fuel tank in the back, seen that there is enough space for more than 100 liters.

But your idea of filling the 2nd tank is really fascinating. Are there any desingns to copy that?

No plans, just try to fix on a car ;)
But a lot of details you can see at photos.
The biggest problem was to fit the intake pipe in the rear - there is a third row harness attachment and a control computer.
