Hi, cool car. I only wonder about the weight of all the furniture... and despite your friend seems to have a one man camper - his concept requires a life outside. I actually copied your idea of putting one of the middle seats to the front - to be able to rotate it. Behind the drivers seat will be the kitchen and storage room. I keep the second middle seat and the rear seats. (In case I ll have many children ) The bed shifts down from the ceiling and to have more room, I m just installing an elevated roof (SCA64). Camping by two should be ok then. + bikes and paragliders
Heating is still an open question... the webastos are quiet expensive - so I will try to reaminate the old eberspächer from the shed
Thats is not fixed box,it is foldable box. I every time have komplet tools for eventual self repairing any problem But in future i must reduce my equipment, is high weight for all I will wait for your info about roof. I have any idea for next improve interier, but must wait for roof. I want making foldable roof in rear, not in middle cab, reserved tyre moving on tailgate and making down floor 30cm under interier floor plus foldable roof and after will possible use shower inside.Thats is plan, but the realisation is in stars
A shower? Wow. For me it is more crucial to have warm water - this allows me to shower outside, no matter how cold it is. For this I use a heat exchanger in the cooling water circle of the engine. The usual water pump rotates the water of one of the water-boxes for a while. Thats it. Combined with a heater (webasto or eberpächer) this would be great. But - the latter is really expensive...
Instead of a shower - i think about a second fuel tank - but thats another topic. The spare tire might go to the roof, in the front. Best regards! Florian
Second fuel tank will be placed under floor RH(right side),this hole in fllor for shower will be possible use than bagage space for hightweight item(fuel canister, water, sand(winter driving)....etc. ) I dont want place on roof not (aerodynamic resistance),all heavy any must be down(reserve on tailgate is needful compromise. I want use Starex for winter camping and must be prepared for this(insultation, heating, hot water.) Preparing hotwater from cooling system engine+electric 12V(second battery+solar panel)+ solar plastic collector) Very much ideas, but not much time
